Introduction
Stripdrains is designed for subsoil drainage behind retaining walls, bridge abutments, and basement walls. It replaces the conventional vertical layer of coarse aggregates - a solution that is notoriously difficult and costly to build.
Its high compressive strength and flexibility ensure long-term performance, as well as easy and rapid installation.

Features/Equipment characteristics
- Rapid, Simple Installation
- Lightweight Design
- Exceptional Water Flow Capacity
- High Compressive Strength
- Effortless Connection System
- Flexible Construction
- No On-Site Fabrication Needed
- Eliminates Aggregate Backfill
Installation
The Shotcrete-Stripdrains is typically installed between each pile, running from the underside of the capping beam down to the basement bottom. Installation must adhere to the construction drawings and engineer's specifications. Typically, the drain is secured to the excavation wall using deck spikes.
Trenching Specification
A trench 50mm to 100mm in width shall be excavated using a standard trenching machine. The trench depth shall be approximately 75mm greater than the strip drain depth. The strip drain shall be placed flush against the trench side and bottom. The trench shall then be backfilled with coarse sand or fine gravel to prevent settlement.
Joining Specification
Sections shall be joined by first folding back the filter fabric approximately 100mm at each end. The core dimples shall be interlocked, and the filter fabric shall then be folded back over the connection. The splice shall be secured with duct tape. Proprietary mechanical joiners are available as an optional alternative upon request.
