Introduction
The plastic strip drain features a HDPE drainage core fully encapsulated by a non-woven geotextile fabric. This fabric serves as a robust filter layer, effectively preventing the ingress of fine particles to mitigate clogging risks and ensure consistent, long-term drainage performance.

INSTALLATION
The Shotcrete-plastic strip drain is typically installed between piles, running from the underside of the capping beam down to the basement bottom. Once positioned, it is secured to the excavation wall, typically using deck spikes. All installation must conform to the construction drawings and engineer's specifications.
For trench installation, a trench 50-100mm in width shall be excavated using a standard trenching machine, with a depth approximately 75mm greater than the strip drain. The drain shall be placed flush against the trench's side and bottom. The trench shall then be backfilled with coarse sand or fine gravel to prevent settlement.
To join sections, the filter fabric shall be folded back approximately 100mm from each end. All rows of core dimples shall be interlocked, after which the fabric shall be folded back over the connection and the splice secured with duct tape. Proprietary mechanical joiners are available as an optional alternative upon request.
