Infiltration System Installation

Excavate to the specified design dimensions.

Prepare a level and mechanically compacted base.

Install and compact a ≥75mm layer of coarse sand bedding.

Deploy geotextile fabric (minimum 200g/m²):

- Cover base and sidewalls completely

- Overlap all seams by at least 200mm

- Seal joints with PVC tape

- Allow sufficient overhang for full tank encapsulation

Position water tanks for rain harvesting units.

Secure units using manufacturer-specified fasteners.

Add subsequent layers via interlocking or stacking mechanism.

Create Inlet and Outlet Penetrations:

Install flanged connectors for secure pipe connections

Ensure outlet elevation is positioned below inlet level for proper drainage

Fully encase the assembled system in geotextile:

Apply PVC sealing tape at all pipe penetration points

Backfill with a minimum 100mm layer of sand:

Compact manually to meet specified density requirements.

Apply a final cover of at least 400mm of engineered soil.
