Infiltration System Installation
Excavate to design dimensions
Prepare level, compacted base
Install and compact ≥75mm coarse sand bedding
Deploy geotextile (min. 200g/m²):
- Cover base and walls
- Overlap seams ≥200mm
- Seal joints with PVC tape
- Allow material overhang for tank coverage
Place rainwater harvesting filtration tank units
Secure units with specified fasteners
Add subsequent layers via stacking/interlocking
Form inlet/outlet penetrations:
- Install flanged connectors
- Ensure outlet elevation < inlet
Encase assembly in geotextile:
- Tape seal at pipe interfaces
Backfill with ≥100mm sand:
- Hand-compact to spec
Top with ≥400mm engineered soil cover
