Introduction
The rain water harvesting underground tank is a heavy-duty plastic module engineered for sub-surface infiltration or on-site storage applications.
These modules feature lightweight yet high-strength panels with a robust interlocking design for swift, tool-free assembly. They connect securely both vertically and horizontally, creating a stable structure capable of withstanding high loads and vehicle traffic.

Infiltration System Installation Procedure
Excavate the area according to design specifications.
Level and compact the base of the excavation.
Lay, level, and compact a base layer of ≥75mm coarse sand.
Install ≥200g/m² geotextile over the base and sidewalls:
- Maintain overlaps of ≥200mm
- Seal all joints with PVC adhesive tape
- Ensure surplus geotextile remains to cover tank surfaces after installation
Position rain water harvesting underground tank units on geotextile.
Secure units using:
- Stainless steel clips
- Tie wire
- High-strength plastic cable ties
For multi-layer systems:
Stack or interlock new units securely onto the base layer
Create pipe penetrations:
Install flanged connectors at inlet/outlet positions
Position outlet below inlet
Cover the tank assembly with geotextile:
Seal all pipe penetrations using PVC adhesive tape
Backfill the sides and top with ≥100mm clean coarse sand:
Compact manually in accordance with engineering specifications
Apply a final cover of ≥400mm free-draining soil over the sand layer as per design requirements.
